The =V67= is a virtual squadron formed for use in
the flight sim SDOE. Most squadrons are set up to promote on line flying. The
67th also allows and supports off line players as well. The 67th is home to some of
the best Physical Modelers (PM), Flight Modelers (FM), Damage Modelers (DM) and Missions
Specialists the SDOE.
"When not in the playpen or
flying, we can be found in the hanger with the crew chief tinkering with the aircraft 'cuz
we're all just a bunch of frustrated crew chiefs at heart."

This is actually very fitting given the plane
building skill in this squad!!! Even more apropos is this story from the 67th FS in
the Pacific in WWII:
When the 67th was uncrating their planes (P-39s
and P-400's) in the Pacific, there was one plane that had evidently been wired by a
madman. Press the gear button, the guns would fire. Fire the guns,
something else would happen. There were over 40 unconnected wires in the cable
harness!! (I am currently searching for the exact text that recounts this.....)
Rumor has it that this cable harness may still be in existence!
If you have worked with OpenPlane at all, this
story takes on even more humor as you apply it to the things you tried, only to find out
the result did something unexpected.
